What is a parasite and what does it do?

A parasite is an organism that lives in another organism, called the host, and often harms it. It is dependent on its host for survival – it must be in the host to live, grow and multiply. A parasite cannot live independently. Although a parasite rarely kills the host, in some cases it can happen. To a certain extent, if a parasite does kill its host it has failed as this means it will need to find a new home. The parasite benefits at the expense of the host – the parasite uses the host to gain strength, and the host loses some strength as a result. Medical doctors know little about parasites other than that in extreme cases, they can cause diarrhea and malabsorption. However, what most doctors don’t know or tell you is that parasites can mimic other disorders or produce no noticeable symptoms at all. When they do cause symptoms, a wide range can be displayed. These can include: Diarrhea and/or constipation Digestive complaints (gas, bloating, cramps) Irritability/nervousness IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome) Persistent skin problems Dark circles under the eyes Muscle cramps or joint pain Post nasal drip Teeth grinding Prostate problems Granulomas (tumor-like masses) Sugar cravings Appetite problems (increased or decreased) Allergies Rectal itching Brain fog Pain in the belly button region Bedwetting Parasites feed off our cells and excrete toxic waste. This waste poisons the body, overworking the organs of elimination. Processing this excess waste can weaken the immune system and as a result, we acquire declining health and chronic disease. How to Detect Parasites

How to Detect Parasites LIVE BLOOD CELL ANALYSIS is a great way to detect the damage that has been done to the cells which occurs when “bacterial forms” in the blood. This gives an overview of the condition of your blood and can be carried out at Vitality Source Studio, so book your appointment today if you are experiencing any of the symptoms described above. Don’t forget that Fibre is very important when doing any cleanse as it will absorb the die-off, and remove it easily from your system giving less side-effects while cleansing. Let’s talk! Pay attention to how you feel during a full moon – seriously! Make a note of when bloating starts? Does it happen around the full moon? Ever wonder why some people go loopy around the full moon? Some might think it’s crazy but parasites are ruled by the lunar schedule and the eggs hatch during a full moon so it’s important to schedule any cleanse kits around that cycle so that when you do the protocol of 7 days on, 5 days off and 7 days on, the 5 days off should be done during the full moon. As it’s important to let the eggs hatch and then hit the new-borns. When dealing with an infestation of worms or other parasites, self-care can be as simple as keeping clean. Frequent bathing, cleaning clothes and bed clothes, wearing clean underclothing to...
Causes of a parasite

Causes of a parasite

Causes of Parasites Typically caused by the parasite’s entry into the body via the skin or mouth, parasites can be picked up from many sources including the soil, walking barefoot and allowing entry through the feet, or by placing the hands in the dirt and fingers in the mouth. You cannot avoid parasites as they are everywhere and make the world go round. It’s only when we are out of whack that we feel the effects. And… it’s not the actual parasites that cause the symptoms that we feel – it’s the die-off from these creatures that has the effect on us. Most people don’t even know they have them. I’ve had many clients come to see me with symptoms of parasitic infections and in some cases I suggested they go see their doctor and get tested. Several of them came back to me saying their doctor dismissed having parasites (without testing) but offered no solution other than to take antacids or ducolax or other prescription to help alleviate their symptoms. So I decided to visit my family doctor to find out his opinion. This is how it went… Me – “Hi Doc, I’d like to get tested for parasites as I am experiencing some symptoms that might be related to having them” Doc – “Parasites? There are no parasites in Canada” Me – “Really? Well, I’m experiencing some symptoms that might be related and I have a small dog and he sleeps on my bed so maybe I have picked something up from him?” Doc – “Unless you have travelled to another country, you won’t have them” Me...

March Blog 2016: Celebrity Colonic Craze

If it’s good enough for them…it’s good enough for us!   Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Madonna, Usher, Britney Spears and Janet Jackson are just some of the stars known for booking colon hydrotherapy cleanses, aka the COLONIC! Gwyneth Paltrow has even started her own line of cleanses called the ‘GOOP’ cleanse which lasts three days and consists of a lot of soups, shakes and herbal tea, teaching you how to prepare meals in advance! Celebrities like Jack Osbourne may book into 5-star luxury ‘Colonic Camps’ for the weekend but at Vitality Source Studio we make these cleanses much more affordable with special packages for those on a non-celeb budget. R&B sensation Usher says, “Someone who travels a lot like I do ……. flying over to Africa and eating meats in certain places, you don’t always eat the way you should and a lot of waste builds up in your body.” With so many of these high-profile figures leading a hectic life, we can understand why they opt for a convenient cleanse with 90% of all colonics taking between 30 and 45 minutes. However, this can vary based upon the judgement of the therapist and sometimes, the wishes of the client with 15 minutes required for changing and a deep intestinal massage.  We can understand why these celebrities praise the effects of colonics with even royalty giving it the seal of approval. Princess Diana was apparently a fan of colonics. She had weekly treatments which she said “take all of the aggro out of me”. Not only do colonics get rid of stagnant waste material and excess toxins in the...
