IBS is short for Irritable bowel syndrome. Common symptoms are abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, and flip-flopping back and forth between constipation and diarrhea. IBS is the name doctors use when they can’t determine what the cause is. i.e. if it’s not apparent that someone has Crohn’s or Colitis, then the diagnosis is called IBS. However, Doctors seldom look at other possibilities that should be taken into consideration such as candida, parasites, infectious diarrhea and lactose intolerance. In my experience as a colon therapist, when we look at the overall picture, and ask the right questions, make a few tweaks on diet and lifestyle, we assist people to make choices that will put them on the right path to good health. Let us help you get on the right path and call us to schedule your appointment today!...
Constipation and Transit Time

Constipation and Transit Time

In a healthy colon transit time should be 24 hours or less. Dairy and meat products may slow the process down somewhat. If you eat 3 meals a day, you should evacuate at least twice a day. If transit time is longer and elimination is less frequent than that, your constipation is chronic and could be a problem. Some simple tips include: Water – 8-10 glasses of water every day. Fibre – 50% soluble fibre and 50% insoluble fibre and should be taken with a lot of water. This ratio allows the fibre to absorb toxins, excess cholesterol, and increase elimination – without the constipating side effects created by other psyllium and fibre products. Omega 3 facilitates the movement of fecal matter through the colon. Regular Colonics are essential for hydrating the colon and restoring normal activity. I ask people for a 30-90-day commitment to see improvements in their health, but always advise patience. For example, it took me 2 years to eliminate my lifelong hay fever a result of my chronic constipation. Want more info? Call...
